How is pricing determined?
For local moves, pricing is typically based on an hourly rate and the number of movers required. For long-distance moves, the cost is calculated based on the distance, the total weight or volume of your items, and any additional services like packing or storage. How do you handle fragile or high-value items?
While we’re mindful of every item we pack and move, we take extra precautions with your more delicate belongings. Still, if you have extremely high-value items, please let us know in advance so we can discuss specific valuation coverage options.
How can I contact the team if I have a question on moving day?
We will provide you with direct contact information for your moving coordinator, as well as the team lead.
Do you provide packing supplies?
Yes, we offer a full range of high-quality packing supplies, including various box sizes, packing paper, bubble wrap, and heavy-duty tape. We can deliver these to you in advance or bring them on moving day if you choose our full packing service.
Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture?
Yes. As part of our standard moving service, we disassemble basic furniture pieces, such as beds and dining tables and then reassemble them at your new address. If you have specific concerns about this, please reach out to our team.
Can you move large appliances?
Yes. If you are taking large appliances, such as your washer and dryer, the refrigerator, or the stove with you, we have the equipment to safely load and unload them. Please make sure appliances are disconnected and drained—for washers and ice makers—prior to our arrival. It is worth noting that for safety reasons, we’re not able to disconnect gas lines or do any electrical wiring.
What protective measures do you take to protect flooring and walls?
We use protective floor runners, door jamb protectors, and moving blankets to prevent scuffs, scratches, or dents to your property—both old and new.
Can you move specialized office equipment and electronics?
Yes. Over the years, we’ve moved our fair share of IT equipment, servers, printers, and monitors. When doing so, we commonly use anti-static wrapping and specialized bins to ensure the items arrive safely and ready for setup.
Can you help with office furniture cubicle teardown?
Yes. We are skilled in the disassembly and modular reconfiguration of office cubicles and workstations. We can even help streamline the setup process in your new commercial space by reassembling the pieces if you know where they need to be placed.
Can you move specialty items like pianos or gun safes?
Yes. We have the specialized equipment and training required to move heavy and “specialty” items, including upright pianos, grand pianos, and large safes. Knowing about these things ahead of time helps us plan accordingly, which is one of the reasons why we might assess your space before moving day.
Are there items you cannot move?
For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport hazardous materials such as propane tanks, gasoline, aerosols, and paint thinner. Additionally, we recommend transporting personal documents and jewelry yourself.
